• Wall Street expects Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) to report a quarterly loss at 94 cents per share on revenue of $20.20 billion before the opening bell, according to data from Benzinga Pro. Boeing shares gained 0.1% to $236.60 in after-hours trading.
• Analysts are expecting Procter & Gamble Co. (NYSE:PG) to have earned $1.42 per share on revenue of $20.76 billion before the opening bell. Procter & Gamble shares slipped 0.1% to $157.03 in after-hours trading.
• Waste Management, Inc. (NYSE:WM) posted upbeat earnings for the second quarter, but lowered its FY2025 sales guidance. Waste Management shares gained 0.5% to $229.00 in the after-hours trading session.

• Koninklijke Philips NV (NYSE:PHG) posted better-than-expected earnings for the second quarter. Philips posted quarterly adjusted earnings of 41 cents per share, beating market estimates of 29 cents per share. Philips shares fell 1.9% to close at $25.66 on Monday.
• Analysts expect Starbucks Corp. (NASDAQ:SBUX) to post quarterly earnings at 65 cents per share on revenue of $9.29 billion after the closing bell. Starbucks shares slipped 0.1% to $93.60 in after-hours trading.

The CNN Money Fear and Greed index showed a decline in the overall market sentiment, while the index remained in the “Greed” zone on Friday.

U.S. stocks settled higher on Friday, with the S&P 500 notching its 14th record close of the year as optimism over corporate earnings and progress on global trade talks provided support for risk assets.

All three major indices closed the week higher, with the 30-stock Dow gaining around 1.3% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq adding 1%. The broad market S&P 500 climbed around 1.5% last week.

Phillips 66 (NYSE:PSX) reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results. Carter’s, Inc. (NYSE:CRI) shares fell around 20% on Friday after the company reported a second-quarter adjusted EPS miss. Additionally, the company suspended its fiscal 2025 guidance and cited tariff impacts on future earnings.

On the economic data front, U.S. durable goods orders fell 9.3% month-over-month to $311.84 billion in June, following a revised 16.5% gain in May.

Most sectors on the S&P 500 closed on a positive note, with industrials, materials and consumer discretionary stocks recording the biggest gains on Friday. However, energy and communication services stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session lower.

The Dow Jones closed higher by 208 points to 44,901.92 on Friday. The S&P 500 gained 0.40% to 6,388.64, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.24% to 21,108.32 during Friday’s session.

Investors are awaiting earnings results from Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE:EPD), Nucor Corp (NYSE:NUE) and Whirlpool Corp (NYSE:WHR) today.

• Analysts are expecting Nucor Corp. (NYSE:NUE) to have earned $2.65 per share on revenue of $8.51 billion after the closing bell. Nucor shares gained 3.1% to close at $145.83 on Friday.
• ATAI Life Sciences NV (NASDAQ:ATAI) disclosed that the Phase 2b trial of Inidascamine in patients with cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia did not meet its primary endpoint. ATAI Life Sciences shares fell 4.6% to close at $3.57 on Friday.

Most sectors on the S&P 500 closed on a negative note, with health care, materials and consumer discretionary stocks recording the biggest losses on Thursday. However, energy and information technology stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session higher.

The Dow Jones closed lower by 316 points to 44,693.91 on Thursday. The S&P 500 gained 0.07% to 6,363.35, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.18% to 21,057.96 during Thursday’s session.

Intel expects third-quarter revenue to be in the range of $12.6 billion to $13.6 billion, versus estimates of $12.63 billion. Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan shared a memo with employees saying that the company will reduce its workforce to 75,000 employees by the end of the year through layoffs and attrition. U.S. stocks settled higher on Wednesday, with the Dow Jones index gaining more than 500 points during the session. The S&P 500 also logged its 12th record close of the year.

President Donald Trump announced agreements with the Philippines, Indonesia and—most significantly—Japan, while the Financial Times reported that a U.S.-EU trade deal is imminent, expected to mirror the Tokyo framework.

The U.S.-Japan pact raises the baseline tariff on Japanese goods to 15% from 10%, sidestepping the previously threatened 25% level.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE:TMO) reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results on Wednesday. AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) announced strong financial results for its fiscal second quarter of 2025 on Wednesday, surpassing analyst expectations for both revenue and earnings.

On the economic data front, U.S. existing-home sales declined 2.7% from the previous month to an annual rate of 3.93 million units in June.

Most sectors on the S&P 500 closed on a positive note, with healthcare, industrials, and energy stocks recording the biggest gains on Wednesday. However, utilities and consumer staples stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session lower.

The Dow Jones closed higher by 508 points to 45,010.29 on Wednesday. The S&P 500 gained 0.78% to 6,358.91, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.61% at 21,020.02 during Wednesday’s session.
