Key Items to Watch: Analysts and investors will be watching Manchester United’s revenue by segment, with broadcasting revenue, commercial revenue, and match day revenue all up year-over-year in the third quarter.

The company has underperformed on the field in recent years in the English Premier League, but thanks to a loyal fan base and strong media rights for the league has enjoyed a financial boost.

The English Premier League kicked off a new domestic television rights deal with Sky Sports and TNT Sports for the 2025-2026 season, which could provide a boost to broadcasting revenue.

Manchester United also recently signed a multi-year partnership with Coca-Cola to be the official carbonated soft drink of the team in Europe.

These deals could go a long ways for Manchester United as the soccer team has struggled on the field in recent years.

The team is currently in 14^th place in the English Premier League after four games played with one win, one draw and two losses. The team finished in 15^th place last season.

In 2022-2023, Manchester United finished in third place and made the lucrative Champions League the following season, but lost in the group stage. The top five teams in the Premier League qualify for the Champions League next year.

Once one of the best teams in the league and a staple in the Champions League, the team’s performance has been poor in recent years, hurting broadcast and matchday revenue that it would get from these extra games.

Investors have been paying increased attention to Manchester United in recent weeks. That could be related to the surging valuation of professional sports teams. While Manchester United is public, the team is majority owned by the Glazer family through voting rights. Shares are not likely to sell in the near future.

The team’s valuation is $6.6 billion according to Forbes with a current public enterprise value of $3.6 billion. Shares could be undervalued based on the valuation of the team, stadium and assets if a sale was ever explored.

MANU Price Action: Manchester United stock trades at $16.05 on Tuesday, versus a 52-week trading range of $12.05 to $19.65. Shares are down 7.5% year-to-date in 2025.

Restaurant company Cracker Barrel Old Country Store (NASDAQ:CBRL) will try to get investors and analysts focused on growth plans instead of a poorly received logo change when the company reports fourth-quarter financial results after market close on Wednesday.

The company missed analyst estimates for revenue in the third quarter and has missed revenue estimates in seven of the last 10 quarters.

Analysts expect the company to report earnings of 80 cents per share in the fourth quarter, down from 98 cents per share in last year’s fourth quarter.

What Analysts Are Saying: The setup for Cracker Barrel is “highly uncertain” heading into the earnings report, Truist analyst Jake Bartlett said in a new investor note.

The analyst maintained a Buy rating and lowered the price target from $65 to $62.

“There are some cracks, but the Cracker Barrel bull case still holds,” Bartlett said.

He said backlash to the logo and branding changes has led to a “significant” drop in sales. Potentially saving the backlash and sales drop could be margin guidance and shareholder returns, Bartlett added.

“A likely ‘refresh’ program takes its place, supporting sales while freeing up cash to return to shareholders.”

Bartlett noted that menu and service improvements could also be keys to the earnings report and guidance. The analyst said these improvements could lead to increased same-store sales going forward, along with margin improvements. “Fallout from rebranding backlash does not change our bullish investment case.”

The analyst noted that there are “low investor expectations” for the earnings report following the backlash, and an increase in cash return to shareholders could also be a key factor to watch for a potential short squeeze.

Cracker Barrel previously lowered its quarterly dividend to help fund its “transformation plan.” The analyst sees a potential increase in the dividend or share buybacks to increase investor appetite for the stock.

“We view the impact of CBRL’s rebranding backlash as a net negative but largely temporary.”

Key Items to Watch: Cracker Barrel previously announced plans to change its logo and décor, two items that were later backtracked after public backlash. The rebranding compelled many people to speak out, including President Trump and a co-founder of the company.

The rebranding likely hurt sales in the short term. Data from Placer.ai shows Cracker Barrel restaurants had a 0.6% month-over-month drop in visits in August and a 0.2% drop on a year-over-year basis.

Investors and analysts will be looking to see if the rebranding backlash hurt growth momentum. The restaurant reported a 0.5% year-over-year increase in sales in the third quarter. Comparable store restaurant sales were up 1.0% year-over-year in the third quarter.

This marked the fourth consecutive quarter of positive comparable store restaurant sales growth for the company, a streak that could likely end in the fourth quarter.

In recent interviews, Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Felss Masino has highlighted the company’s value proposition, with the average bill around $15, compared to an industry average of $27.

On prediction market Kalshi, the odds that Masino is out as the Cracker Barrel CEO by the end of the year are currently 17%, down from 30% in late August.

Kalshi also has odds for what will be said during Cracker Barrel’s earnings call. Top bets include words like menu (98%), price (90%), growth (89%), logo (89%), tariff (81%) and breakfast (78%).

Some of the less popular predictions include words like rebrand (32%), takeout (19%), Trump (19%) and DEI (6%).

CBRL Price Action: Cracker Barrel stock is down 1.8% to $51.47 on Tuesday, versus a 52-week trading range of $33.86 to $71.93. Shares are down 15.2% over the last month and down 6.3% year-to-date in 2025.

Adobe expects third-quarter revenue to be between $5.88 billion and $5.93 billion, and earnings per share to land between $5.15 and $5.20.

What Experts Are Saying: Freedom Capital Markets Chief Market Strategist Jay Woods compared Adobe to Salesforce.

Both companies have consistently beaten analyst estimates for revenue and earnings per share, but the stocks have fallen after financial results. Adobe shares fell after eight of the past nine quarterly earnings reports.

“The pioneer behind Photoshop continues to struggle to grow in a landscape where AI competition can do some of the key things they were known for,” Woods wrote in a weekly newsletter.

The stock is in a longer-term downtrend, and rallies should likely be sold until the stock can prove otherwise, Woods says. “The real pressure is to the downside.”

Analysts have been lowering their price targets on Adobe stock ahead of the earnings report. Here are recent analyst ratings on Adobe and their price targets:

Second-quarter revenue was up 11% year-over-year with digital experience revenue up 10% year-over-year. The company said it had $19.69 billion in remaining performance obligations.

Investors will be looking for strong remaining obligations and year-over-year growth.

Artificial intelligence will be a key topic for investors and analysts. Critics say Adobe is falling behind other tech firms, and AI could be a significant threat to some of its products.

However, the company has highlighted its AI innovation in recent quarters, garnering a 38% upside from the price of $391.37 for JPMorgan analyst Mark R. Murphy.

“We continue to invest in AI innovation across our customer groups to enhance value realization and expand the universe of customers we serve,” Adobe CEO Dan Durn said after second-quarter results.

ADBE Price Action: Adobe stock is down 1.49% to $348.78 on Wednesday. Its 52-week trading range is $330.04 to $587.75. Adobe stock is down 20.6% year-to-date in 2025.

Pet ecommerce company Chewy Inc (NYSE:CHWY) is set to report its second-quarter earnings before market open on Wednesday, with analysts eyeing potential growth in recurring revenue and subscription services.

Here’s a preview of the key estimates, analyst expectations, and what to watch for in the upcoming report.

Earnings Estimates: Analysts expect Chewy to report Q2 revenue of $3.08 billion, up from $2.86 billion according to data from Benzinga Pro.

The company has beaten analyst estimates in two straight quarters and in seven of the last 10 quarters overall.

Analysts expect Chewy to report Q2 earnings per share of 14 cents, down from 24 cents a year ago. The company has beaten analyst estimates for earnings per share in more than 10 straight quarters.

Guidance from the company calls for Q2 revenue in a range of $3.06 billion to $3.09 billion and earnings per share in a range of 30 cents to 35 cents.

What Analysts Are Saying: JPMorgan analyst Doug Anmuth views Chewy as a defensive stock. Most of Chewy’s net sales, 85%, are in non-discretionary goods.

The analyst said Chewy is seeing around 80% of its revenue come from Autoship. The analyst also highlighted that Chew is not seeing its hard goods impacted by tariff-driven inflation.

“We remain bullish on CHWY’s product improvements, execution, and marketing, along with stable industry trends,” Anmuth said.

The analyst maintained an Overweight rating with a price target of $47.

Anmuth said the U.S. pet category is still transitioning to digital. Around 38% of sales were online in fiscal 2024, opening up room for future growth. In the online pet category, Chewy has around a 33% market share.

The analyst said Chewy is showing momentum for new customers ahead of the earnings report. Anmuth estimates Chewy will add 126,000 net new customers in the second quarter and 656,000 in the fiscal year.

Mizuho recently upgraded Chewy stock from Neutral to Outperform. It also raised the price target from $44 to $50 ahead of the earnings report.

Key Items to Watch: As mentioned by Anmuth, Autoship is a strength for Chewy and will be one of the areas investors and analysts closely monitor.

Autoship sales were up 14.8% year-over-year in the first quarter to $2.56 billion.

Another area to watch is net sales per active customer with Chewy adding more products and services and diversifying itself in the pet sector. In the first quarter, net sales per active customer were up 3.7% year-over-year to $583.

Chewy CEO Sumit Singh said first-quarter results were above company expectations, highlighting the sales figure, active customer growth and free cash flow.

Another strong quarter could lead to the company raising guidance with initial expectations from the company guiding for fiscal 2025 sales between $12.30 billion to $12.45 billion.

CHWY Price Action: Chewy shares trade at $41.59 on Tuesday versus a 52-week trading range of $26.28 to $48.62. Chewy stock is up 22.8% year-to-date in 2025.

Here’s a look at the earnings estimates, what analysts are saying and key items to watch.

Earnings Estimates: Analysts expect GameStop to report second-quarter (Q2) revenue of $823.25 million, up from $798.30 million in last year’s second quarter, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

The company missed analyst estimates for revenue in seven straight quarters. It also missed estimates in eight of the last 10 quarters overall.

Analysts expect the company to report 16 cents in earnings per share, up from 1 cent per share in earnings from last year’s Q2.

The company has beaten analyst estimates for earnings per share in two straight quarters and three of the last four quarters. Overall, the company has beaten analyst estimates for earnings per share in six of the last 10 quarters overall.

What Analysts Are Saying: GameStop is not widely covered by analysts and hasn’t been for years.

Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, one of the few analysts covering the stock, remains bearish on the retailer.

Pachter’s last investor note said the company’s Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) investments wouldn’t be enough to excite investors. The analyst said there remain no signs of a turnaround in the company’s core business.

Pachter has an Underperform rating on GameStop with a $13.50 price target. The majority of the company’s valuation comes from $12.50 per share in cash, securities and cryptocurrency, Pachter said.

“It is difficult to understand why any investor would be willing to pay more than 2x cash value for the possibility of GameStop converting more of its cash into Bitcoin, especially since these investors could invest in Bitcoin or a Bitcoin ETF themselves,” Pachter said.

The positive for GameStop is its growth in trading cards, according to the analyst.

“GameStop’s foray into the trading card business appears to be the only recent business venture to see modest success.”

Pachter said GameStop’s stock price is at a level that “overlooks the many challenges ahead.”

Key Items to Watch: Trading cards are a positive for the company, according to Pachter. The growth comes as the sector sees significant growth and sales at auctions.

GameStop formed several key partnerships with the trading card grading company PSA. Together, they recently launched a blind bag style “Power Packs.”

GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen considers the collectibles space to be a natural extension for the company and hinted at more growth coming from that area.

In the first quarter, Collectibles revenue grew to $211.5 million, the only of the three main sectors that saw year-over-year growth. That business segment is helping to offset declines in video game hardware, accessories and software.

Collectibles also come with higher margins, which are helping the company improve its profitability. The company has posted adjusted earnings per share profits in five of the last six quarters, after year’s of losses.

GameStop disclosed buying 4,710 Bitcoin between May 3 and June 10. The company paid somewhere between $93,399.86 and $111,970.17 for the Bitcoin during that time period. With Bitcoin currently trading at $112,383.77, the company’s Bitcoin holdings have gained in value, which could be reflected in the financials.

Investors and analysts will be closely watching to see if GameStop bought more Bitcoin in the quarter or is announcing plans to do so. Cohen said the company will not be turning into a Bitcoin treasury company, instead buying Bitcoin to hedge against inflation.

Cohen said the company’s $9 billion in cash would be deployed responsibly for areas with high upside and limited downside.

GameStop went multiple quarters without hosting a conference call.

GME Price Action: GameStop stock is up 2.3% to $23.13 on Monday. Its 52-week trading range is from $19.31 to $35.81. GameStop shares are down 25% year-to-date in 2025.

Analysts expect the company to report first-quarter revenue of $15.03 billion, up from $13.31 billion in last year’s first quarter, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

Oracle beat analyst estimates for revenue in the fourth quarter, after missing two straight quarters. The firm has only beaten analyst estimates for revenue in three of the last 10 quarters overall.

Analysts also expect Oracle to report first-quarter earnings per share of $1.48, up from $1.39 in last year’s first quarter.

The company beat analyst estimates for earnings per share in the fourth quarter, which came after two straight quarter misses. Oracle has beaten analyst estimates for earnings per share in eight of the last 10 quarters overall.

What Analysts Are Saying

JPMorgan analyst Mark Murphy maintains a Neutral rating and raised the price target from $185 to $210.

Oracle is likely to show “AI-related bookings momentum” in the quarterly results, Murphy said, adding, “We continue to see ongoing momentum across core AI infrastructure bookings in the broader tech industry.”

Oracle will likely provide more details on a $30 billion per year revenue deal it disclosed in late June.

“We are favorably impressed by Oracle’s successes within the AI arena and the cadence of securing large OCI-related bookings in support of its future growth,” Murphy adds. Investors will be looking to see bookings momentum and execution on contracts in the quarterly results.

Oracle’s results come as Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) have show demand outpacing supply for the cloud infrastructure sector, Murphy added.

Murphy noted “the underlaying organic recurring revenue growth trend” and expects the cloud shift to progress.

• Morgan Stanley: Maintained Equal-Weight rating, raised price target from $175 to $246
• Barclays: Maintained Overweight rating, raised price target from $221 to $281

Oracle CEO Safra Catz praised fiscal 2025 as “a very good year,” and expects revenue growth rates “will be dramatically higher” in 2026.

The company expects cloud revenue to grow 40% in fiscal 2026, up from 24% growth in fiscal 2025. It also anticipates that cloud infrastructure revenue to grow 70% in fiscal 2026, up from 50% growth in fiscal 2025.

Investors and analysts will look to see if bullish guidance remains or receives an update.

ORCL Price Action: Oracle stock is up 3.6% to $241.17 on Monday versus a 52-week trading range of $118.86 to $260.87. Shares hit the new all-time highs at the end of July. Oracle stock is up 45% year-to-date in 2025.

What Experts Are Saying

Broadcom’s stock, while impressive in 2025, is overshadowed by its larger semiconductor rival, NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA).

“Broadcom is basically Nvidia’s baby brother,” Freedom Capital Markets Chief Market Strategist Jay Woods said in a weekly newsletter.

While it is smaller in market capitalization, Broadcom has similar qualities, according to Woods.

“It is in the $1 trillion market cap club, a top holding in both the Semiconductor ETF (NYSE:SMH), the Technology ETF (NASDAQ:XLK) and the Nasdaq 100 (NASDAQ:QQQ).”

Broadcom is up around 650% from its 2022 lows, which is lower than the 1,500%-plus gains in Nvidia stock. Yet, in recent months, the firm outperformed with a 94% gain, beating Nvidia’s increase of 45%, Woods said.

“The semiconductor company has grown mightily in Nvidia’s shadows for years now.”

Looking at the stock chart, Woods said Broadcom stock has “clear support” at the $285 level. The shares have been consolidating between $285 and $310.

Analysts have been raising their price targets on Broadcom stock heading into the earnings print. Here are recent analyst ratings on Broadcom and their price targets:

• Morgan Stanley: Maintained Overweight rating, raised price target from $338 to $357
• Oppenheimer: Maintained Outperform rating, raised price target from $305 to $325

With AI revenue broken out and guidance given, this could be one of the key figures that analysts and investors zero in on in the quarterly results.

What Experts Are Saying: Freedom Capital Markets Chief Market Strategist Jay Woods said there is one major question for Salesforce ahead of earnings.

“Is the software giant’s AI business model generating the return on investment investors want to see or are other AI platforms starting to chip into their business?” Woods said in a weekly newsletter.

Woods said the earnings report and commentary could show if AI is going to help Salesforce grow in the AI space or whether AI will be “a detriment to their own growth.”

DA Davidson analyst Gil Luria upgraded Salesforce shares from Underperform to Neutral with a $225 price target recently.

The analyst remains cautious on the stock, warning that the company’s push into Agentforce is hurting its core cloud business segment.

Luria said unpredictability over Salesforce’s costs to grow its AI platforms and unclear AI strategies make it harder for investors to know what to expect.

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding (NYSE:BABA) may reveal how global issues are impacting the company and how diversification into AI might help future growth when the company reports its first-quarter financial results on Friday before the market opens.

Earnings Estimates: Analysts expect Alibaba to report first-quarter revenue of $34.26 billion, down from $33.47 billion in last year’s first quarter, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

The company missed analyst estimates for revenue in the fourth quarter, but has beaten estimates in seven of the last 10 quarters overall.

Analysts expect the company to report first-quarter earnings per share of $1.95, down from $2.26 in last year’s first quarter. The company has beaten analyst estimates for earnings in two straight quarters and seven of the previous 10 quarters overall.

Key Items to Watch: Several analysts have lowered their price targets on Alibaba stock ahead of the earnings release, including Barclays and Bank of America Securities.

The stock, and other Chinese stocks, have also found their way being sold or stakes lowered in investment portfolios of top hedge funds in recent months, including Bridgewater, Appaloosa and Coatue Management.

Once known best for its e-commerce in China, investors and analysts may be excited to hear more about Alibaba’s growth in the cloud and AI sectors, two of the fastest-growing areas.

A report stated that Alibaba and Baidu were the leaders in China’s public cloud services for artificial intelligence in 2024, each representing around a 25% market share. The company’s AI coding model, Qwen 3 coder, has been gaining global traction.

In the fourth quarter, Alibaba’s Cloud Intelligence Group was a key performer with revenue up 18% year-over-year. The growth of the segment outperformed that of many of the company’s other segments. The company stated that the increased adoption of AI-related products contributed to the segment’s growth.

Another area to watch is Alibaba’s growth outside of China, with the company’s International Digital Commerce Group posting a year-over-year increase of 22% in the fourth quarter, driven by its cross-border businesses.

With the United States making imports from China more difficult and imposing tariffs on goods from many countries, Alibaba’s report could reveal the significant impact the Trump administration is having on its business in the U.S. and how diversification in China and other regions can mitigate any challenges.

BABA Price Action: Alibaba stock is down 1.4% to $120.45 on Thursday, versus a 52-week trading range of $80.06 to $148.43. Alibaba stock is up 41.8% year-to-date in 2025.

Webull Corporation (NASDAQ:BULL) aims to highlight recent wins in cryptocurrency and its evolution since going public, as the company reports second-quarter financial results on Thursday after the market close.

Earnings History

Webull went public in April after completing a SPAC merger. Shares soared after their debut with the company, among the top trending names among retail traders for weeks after the market debut.

Since going public, shares have pulled back and investors and analysts now look to company announcements and financial results to show the investment case for the company moving forward.

There are no current analyst estimates for the company’s second-quarter financial results.

In the first quarter, Webull reported revenue of $117.37 million, up 32% year-over-year. The company also reported a loss of 6 cents per share, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

Webull said the revenue growth came from account growth and higher trading volumes. In the first quarter, total customer assets were up 45% year-over-year, with registered users hitting 24.1 million, up 17% year-over-year.

What to Watch in Q2 Results

Investors and analysts will be looking for updates on revenue and earnings per share, while other key metrics like assets on the platform and registered users could show healthy growth going forward.

“We will remain focused on broadening our product portfolio, introducing new asset classes, and expanding access to customers globally,” Webull U.S. CEO Anthony Denier said after first quarter results.

Cryptocurrency will be a major topic for the company in its results and management commentary. After previously pausing its cryptocurrency trading, Webull re-launched in Brazil in June and recently re-launched in the U.S. this week.

Webull offers cryptocurrency trading in the U.S., featuring more than 50 different cryptocurrencies. The list includes the big names like Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) and also popular smaller cryptos like Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE), Pudgy Penguin Coin (CRYPTO:PENGU), Official Trump Coin (CRYPTO: TRUMP) and Pepe Coin (CRYPTO: PEPE).

The U.S. trading platform also allows users to buy and sell stocks, options, and cryptocurrency on the same platform, whereas previously, crypto was a separate app.

The reintroduction of cryptocurrency trading comes with improved regulatory clarity, according to the company. The company said previously that it expects to launch cryptocurrency trading in more markets later this year. Investors and analysts could get an update on that front on Thursday.

BULL Price Action: Webull shares were down 2.83% at $14.57 at the time of publication on Wednesday, pulling back 7.28% this month but still up 10.00% since the start of the year. The stock is trading near its 52-week low of $9.53, according to Benzinga Pro data.
